Among Bible prophecy students and teachers it has long been an argument about the church being Raptured before the Tribulation (pre-trib) or afterward (post-trib).

However, what does the Bible tell us?

To clear up some points the Rapture is when Jesus Christ comes and takes up His Church into Heaven. The glorious appearing is when Jesus Christ comes back to earth and sets up His millennium kingdom on earth.

In order to believe in the Pre-trib you must believe that

1. Jesus will rescue the Church before the Tribulation.

 2. The judgment seat 1 will precede the marriage of the Lamb (Jesus) to His bride (Church), during the Tribulation.

3. Then the Lord will come to triumph over the devil and set up His kingdom—in the glorious appearing!

The Raptured will be judged and it will prepare them for the marriage of the Lamb.

Now in order to believe in the post-trib idea you must think that:

1. Jesus Raptures His church after the Tribulation and that“Jesus must be willing to beat His Bride” in order for it to happen.

2. The glorious appearing happens right after the Rapture.

3. The judgment seat and the marriage of the Lamb will not be or will be postponed to another day.

We, however, read a very different story in the Bible.

Romans 5:9:

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

“Saved from wrath”. Isn’t that so comforting? Jesus will surely save us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 5:9:

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus has not appointed us to the wrath of God, we are His bride.

Ephesians 5:6:

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

God will pour His wrath on “the children of disobedience” not the Church.

As we have seen, through Scripture, the Bible clearly tells us that the Church will be Raptured before the Tribulation saving us from “the wrath of the Lamb”.

1 The judgment seat is when the Christians are judged by Almighty God.

2 Corinthians 5:10:

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
