Many months ago, I saw an ad for some product and it said, “millions of men can’t be wrong.” Of course, they used that phrase to make the point that millions of men had used their product and thought it was the best. Ever since then I have been pondering that phrase. It raises some interesting questions, doesn’t it?
The thing is, the ad was wrong . . . millions, even billions, trillions or quadrillions of people can be wrong. That is a sad truth.
Look at evolution. Not only are the millions and billions of years wrong but also the millions and possibly billions of people who believe it. The majority is not always right.
Hundreds of millions Muslims are wrong about what they believe. The majority is not always right. Those same millions of Muslims will go to hell because of their misunderstanding.
Over a billion Catholics are wrong about what they believe. sure, maybe they are nice people and all but they are still wrong and they will have the same punishment as the Muslims. The majority is not always right.
Millions of Mormons believe in something that is incorrect. They are condemning themselves to the same punishment as the Catholics and Muslims. The majority is not always right.
Millions of Germans thought that killing Jews was the right way to go. Look at the havoc and destruction they caused. The majority is not always right.
2/3 of the angels stayed and believe in God as the only True God. They were rewarded by their current positions as ambassadors and messengers for God. Sometimes, the majority can be right.
The majority of the prisoners in the Circus Maximus during the time of tyrant emperors, were right. They were rewarded with everlasting life that began when earthly life ended. The majority can be right, sometimes.
All of God is Truth. The completeness of God is always right.
We can so easily be wrong in this world. Why can’t we just turn to the Truth and trust it as our Salvation. Sometimes, the majority is stubborn and wrong.
