When I first started the mysterious series on ball lightning I promised a conclusion to what I believed they were. I will keep my promise.
According to the witnesses’ accounts the ball lightning have these features:
Enters buildings (many times a church)
Explode loudly
Disappear silently and suddenly
Cause damage to people and buildings
Disappear without hurting a fly
Can split into many balls
Can change color but is usually white
Lasts for a few seconds to minutes
If you ask me those features do not describe something natural. Although there are abnormal things in the world, ball lightning seems to take the cake. How can something be so inconsistent? Sometimes it hurts people and sometimes it doesn’t. Seriously. Lightning hurts whether it kills you or not.
What could ball lightning be? Let me direct you to two verses in the Bible.
Ephesians 2:2:
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
That verse is talking about the devil is is “the prince of the power of the air”. Where have all these balls been seen in. The air. In the end God cleanses the air that Satan has polluted with his evil.
And the second verse is a pretty familiar one.
2 Corinthians 11:14:
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
It may seem a far stretch but why can’t these balls be Satan trying to impress the world with his power. Remember, the balls struck churches often, causing damage.
If these sightings are the devil what is the purpose of his invasion? Some suggest that he is trying to degrade the Rapture.
See, if people see a bunch of sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects (that includes all unidentified flying objects) then they will be more likely to believe that such things caused the Rapture. They will change “the truth of God into a lie”. They will claim that aliens took-off with all those who disappeared. This will not be the truth.
See how clever Satan is? He is not some little cartoon devil with a pitchfork. He is a evil foe.
Jesus has conquered him!
You are in for a big treat within the next week or so when I interview someone who has seen ball lightning (and knew someone who has) but never knew what it was until recently.
